Job Summary

The Logistics Officer will support efficient and compliant logistics operations, focusing on warehouse management, inventory control, and asset management in line with MSI policies and global best practices.


Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Manage receiving, storage, and issuing of goods
  • Maintain proper storage conditions and warehouse organization
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Monitor stock levels (slow-moving, damaged, near-expiry items)

 Receiving & Distribution

  • Verify deliveries against purchase orders
  • Maintain accurate inventory records (GRNs, bin cards, ledgers)
  • Support distribution of medicines and supplies to field teams
  • Ensure proper documentation and reconciliation

Health & Safety

  • Ensure a safe and secure warehouse environment
  • Report risks, incidents, and security concerns

Asset Management

  • Register, tag, and track organizational assets
  • Maintain asset management systems and records
  • Support physical asset verification and reconciliation

 Disposal Management

  • Identify obsolete/expired stock and assets
  • Support disposal processes and documentation
  • Update inventory and asset records after disposal

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in logistics/warehouse operations
  • Experience with asset management systems
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, inventory systems)

Added Advantages

  • Knowledge of donor compliance (e.g., USAID, FCDO)
  • Experience in pharmaceutical/logistics environments
  • PSPTB registration and CPSP certification
