Job Overview
The U.S. Embassy in Dar es Salaam is hiring a Human Resources Assistant (American Services) to support American staff management. This role covers recruitment, onboarding, personnel records, and administrative coordination for U.S. Direct Hire employees and their families.
Human Resources Assistant Key Responsibilities
- Handle official correspondence for incoming and outgoing USDH staff
- Coordinate check-in and check-out processes for employees and family members
- Guide staff on HR policies, career development, and procedures
- Process new positions and manage removals
- Maintain accurate personnel records
- Support recruitment programs, including family member hiring
- Assist with visas, accreditation, and diplomatic IDs
- Respond to HR-related inquiries and provide strong customer service
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- At least two years of college education
- Minimum 3 years experience in HR or administrative roles
Language Skills:
- English: Fluent
- Kiswahili: Good working knowledge
