Job Description:

Lumac Tanzania Enterprises Ltd is hiring an Assistant Technical Supervisor to join its Technical Department. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates with 1–2 years of experience in architecture, engineering, or design.

The successful candidate will support design development, site measurements, project coordination, and client technical support. Working under the Technical Manager, you will contribute to residential and commercial projects within Tanzania’s aluminium and glass industry.

Responsibilities:

Interior Design & Space Planning:

• Develop interior design concepts and space layout proposals
• Prepare drawings, elevations, and 3D visualizations
• Advise clients on product selection, finishes, and materials
• Maintain showroom displays to reflect current design standards

Technical Drawings & Measurements:

• Conduct site visits and take accurate project measurements
• Prepare technical drawings and cutting lists for production
• Verify measurement data from sales and installation teams

Project Coordination & Site Support:

• Track project progress from measurement to installation completion
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, and Installation teams
• Attend site visits and ensure work meets required standards

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain organized project files including drawings and specifications
• Support preparation of reports and technical presentations

Requirements:

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

Experience:

• 1–2 years of relevant professional experience (internship or full-time)
• Experience in interior design, space planning, or architectural drawing

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
• Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage
• Understanding of construction materials and finishing systems
• Familiarity with aluminium and glass products is a plus

Additional Requirements:

• Design portfolio required during the interview stage

Personal Attributes:

• Good communication skills for client and team interactions
• Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently

• Willingness to travel for site visits within Dar es Salaam and occasionally upcountry
