Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Providing comprehensive medical services in hospitals, including the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases, with a focus on pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and both routine and emergency surgical care.
- Delivering and supervising health education programs while promoting community health at the district, regional, or assigned workplace.
- Maintaining and utilizing health records and statistical data through established information systems.
- Investigating, monitoring, and preventing disease outbreaks.
- Preparing and coordinating continuing professional development (CPD) programs for healthcare workers.
- Supervising, guiding, and mentoring subordinate staff.
- Designing, conducting, evaluating, and disseminating medical research findings.
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve the quality of healthcare services within their field.
- Preparing healthcare service plans and budget estimates.
- Participating in medical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance healthcare service delivery.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor in accordance with their education, experience, and professional expertise.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- A Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a university recognized by the Government.
- Registration with the Medical Council of Tanganyika.

Assistant Nursing Officer II

The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Providing professional nursing services to patients.
- Collecting and maintaining essential health data and statistics.
- Supervising and guiding junior nursing staff.

- Providing preventive healthcare services, including maternal and reproductive health services.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor in line with their education, experience, and professional skills.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- A Diploma in Nursing from a government-recognized institution.
- Registration with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council.
