Job Description:

Ubongo is hiring an AI Content and Animation Producer in Dar es Salaam to support its transition into AI-assisted video production. This is a unique opportunity for creatives seeking animation and video production jobs in Tanzania within the digital media and edutainment industry.

The role focuses on producing AI-enhanced video content, remixing existing materials, and creating engaging, child-friendly animations optimized for digital platforms (short-form and long-form). The assignment supports scaling educational content across Africa while maintaining strong brand and child-safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Production

Create AI-enhanced video content using existing Akili and Me assets
Remix and adapt videos into new visual formats
Ensure content is engaging, child-friendly, and visually compelling

Content Creation

Produce AI remix videos for music content
Adapt videos for both short-form (reels, shorts) and long-form platforms
Create reusable animation loops for ongoing production

AI Character Transformations

Develop 4 distinct character-based video concepts
Produce 4 variations per concept (approx. 1 minute each)
Explore transformations such as professions, fashion styles, and environments

Optimization & Delivery

Optimize videos for cross-platform distribution
Deliver final, platform-ready video files
Maintain consistent visual quality and formatting

Asset Development

Create reusable animation assets and loops
Organize and deliver source files for future use

Collaboration & Workflow

Work with Digital Product Manager and creative teams
Participate in feedback cycles and iterate quickly

Requirements / Qualifications:

Proven experience in video production, animation, or motion design
Experience using AI tools for video generation or visual manipulation
Strong creative and visual storytelling skills
Ability to produce child-friendly, engaging content
Experience working in fast-paced production environments

Technical Requirements:

Proficiency in tools such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, Blender, or similar
Familiarity with AI video generation tools and workflows
Understanding of digital video formats (short-form vs long-form)
Ability to deliver high-quality, platform-ready outputs
