Tanzania Commercial Bank (TCB) is hiring a Senior Manager – Product to lead product design, development, and lifecycle management across retail and SME banking. The role focuses on building innovative financial products, improving customer experience, and driving revenue growth through digital transformation and customer-centric product strategies.

The position involves managing product roadmaps, enhancing digital banking solutions, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performing retail banking products in Tanzania’s financial services sector.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Development

Design and implement product bundles and customer value propositions across retail and SME banking segments
Define and manage the product roadmap in collaboration with key stakeholders
Lead the full product lifecycle from development, pricing, launch, and post-launch performance review
Develop monetization strategies for digital financial products and services

Product Performance & Optimization

Monitor and evaluate performance of existing banking products and services
Identify opportunities to improve revenue, efficiency, and customer experience
Track KPIs and optimize product performance using customer insights and data analytics
Review customer data to identify behavior patterns and product improvement opportunities

Digital Transformation & Innovation

Lead automation and digitization initiatives for retail banking products and services
Drive adoption of digital financial solutions and improve customer engagement
Participate in product testing, prototyping, pilot programs, and product launches
Collaborate with technology teams and external partners on digital innovation projects

Reporting & Business Analysis

Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports for management and board reporting
Support data-driven decision-making using product and customer insights
Develop and execute business initiatives and campaigns to promote product performance

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work with internal departments and external partners to deliver product solutions
Coordinate cross-functional approvals and project implementation activities
Ensure alignment between business strategy and product development initiatives

Requirements

Education & Experience

Master’s degree in Banking, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Accountancy, Entrepreneurship, or related field
Minimum of 16 years of experience in mortgage finance or retail lending
Experience working with technology-driven financial products and digital banking solutions
Experience working in cross-functional project teams

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of product management methods and lifecycle processes
Knowledge of emerging technologies and big data platforms
Strong communication skills across technical and business teams
Ability to analyze customer data and translate insights into product features
Strong leadership, planning, and execution skills
