Job Description:

FES Agric Services Tanzania Limited is hiring Senior Mechanics (2 Positions) for its operations in Morogoro, Tanzania, specifically at Kilombero Sugar Estate. The Senior Mechanic will be responsible for advanced diagnostics, repair, maintenance planning, and supervision of technical teams, ensuring optimal performance and availability of heavy-duty machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct advanced fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and equipment
Supervise and guide junior technicians
Plan and oversee preventive maintenance programs
Collaborate with land preparation supervisors and liaise with clients
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
Ensure optimal fleet availability through effective technician management
Oversee workshop operations and staffing for smooth workflow
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external clients
Ensure proper handling and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment
Adhere to health and safety standards and regulations
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager

Requirements / Qualifications:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a mechanical supervisory role
Experience with heavy-duty automotive machinery, preferably in the agricultural sector
Strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques
Proficiency in computer use, including diagnostic software tools
Strong communication skills in English
Commitment to safety standards and procedures
