AB InBev is hiring a Fleet & Safety Supervisor in Mwanza, Tanzania. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act of 93 and the Road Traffic Act
- Maintain sustainable fleet standards at the operational site
- Develop collaborative safety plans with multiple stakeholders
- Conduct daily depot fleet inspections for legal and company compliance
- Report daily fleet availability for trucks, trailers, FLTs, and MFLTs
- Maintain accurate fleet records including maintenance job cards, licensing history, and pre-trip inspections
- Execute and sustain DPO Fleet and Safety Pillars through assessments and audits
- Consolidate asset verification in line with BRN requirements
- Manage master data requisitions and changes
- Monitor maintenance and service requirements for trucks, trailers, forklifts, and warehouse cleaning equipment
- Maintain site standards to minimize losses and ensure compliance with legal provisions including OHS, Environmental, and COVID regulations
- Manage expenditure against budget and monthly estimates
- Oversee spare parts management and inventory control processes
- Maintain workshop Safety 5S standards and review maintenance SOPs
- Promote safety culture and SHE programmes across operations
- Maintain site procedures and work instructions while ensuring compliance
- Monitor audits, surveys, and maintenance activities related to safety risks
- Drive innovation, benchmarking, and process improvement initiatives for DPO/VPO/LCP KPIs
Requirements / Qualifications
- Relevant 3-year tertiary degree or diploma
- 2–3 years of fleet functional work experience
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, Road Traffic Act, and governance practices
- Business and financial acumen
- Inventory control knowledge
- Advanced Microsoft Office and Word proficiency
- Knowledge of SAP
- Strong analytical skills
- Health and Safety knowledge
- People management experience is an added advantage
