The Project Manager will ensure all assigned projects are delivered on time, within budget, scope, and defined quality standards. The role requires expertise in project planning, stakeholder management, governance, risk management, and system implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors for successful project delivery
- Organize workshops to define project scope, objectives, and governance
- Develop detailed project plans including milestones, deliverables, and ownership
- Allocate resources, budgets, and timelines effectively
Stakeholder Management
- Communicate project updates and gather stakeholder feedback
- Align stakeholder expectations with project objectives
Vendor Management
- Manage vendor relationships and monitor performance
Compliance & Security
- Ensure projects comply with regulatory and industry standards
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to safeguard systems and data
Project Governance
- Establish governance and communication structures
- Serve as secretary for project committees (PWC & PSC)
Project Control
- Manage risks, issues, and dependencies with timely escalation
- Track project progress and communicate updates
- Control scope, budget, and timeline changes
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Facilitate testing strategies and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards
Project Closure
- Conduct closure workshops and document lessons learned
- Ensure proper handover for maintenance and support
Requirements / Qualifications:
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field
- PMI PMP® Certification required
- Additional certifications (AgilePM, PRINCE2, PGMP, CBAP, Scrum) are an added advantage
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience managing projects, portfolios, or programs
- Experience in large corporate environments
- Background in business analysis and project management
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of banking processes and business process re-engineering
- Experience in core banking systems implementation
- Excellent planning, organization, and multitasking skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
