Key Responsibilities

Safety Leadership and Culture

Lead and promote a strong workplace safety culture
Support Barrick’s zero-harm safety philosophy
Provide guidance and coaching to safety representatives and employees
Conduct on-the-job training on SOPs and safe work practices

Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations in Tanzania
Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments
Facilitate formal risk assessments and workplace safety reviews
Conduct Critical Control Verifications (CCVs)
Participate in SOP reviews and Management of Change (MOC) processes

Requirements / Qualifications

NOSHC I & II certification
Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education or higher
Certificate IV in Training and Workplace Assessment (advantage)
Training in Incident and Accident Investigation
Level 3 First Aid certification
Valid driving license
Certification in Emergency Response Management (advantage)
